Sleek and streamlined

The Flying Spur Mulliner V8 is more than just a luxury car. It is a stunning example of contemporary automotive design. Shaped from superformed aluminium panels, it has a sculpted, almost seamless appearance, punctuated by the addition of exquisite Mulliner details. Its 22” polished wheels feature self-levelling wheel caps at the centre of their painted grey spokes. Mulliner’s ‘double diamond’ mesh design has been applied to the wing vents and the radiator grille at the front. Above it stands an illuminated Bentley ‘Flying B’ bonnet mascot, which can be deployed and retracted electrically.

An exquisitely crafted cabin

A hand-veneered dashboard features chrome bulls eye air vents and chrome Mulliner overlays, alongside the Bentley Rotating display – a beautiful, revolving display giving you the choice between a 12.3” touchscreen or three chrome-rimmed analogue gauges. When you switch the engine off, the instrumentation panel rolls back behind the fascia, leaving a panel of handcrafted wood that matches the rest of the fascia perfectly. This attention to detail is mirrored everywhere you look, right down to the digital dials in the driver’s instrument display, which have been redesigned to match the Breitling for Mulliner dashboard clock.

There are eight three-way interior colour schemes to choose from. The accent colour is used for piping applied to the seats, each of which feature Mulliner embroidery. The leather door panels have been formed into a diamond texture without stitching, which makes touching them virtually irresistible. In the footwells, deep pile Mulliner overmats add to the sense of opulent comfort, while a panoramic sunroof makes the cabin feel light and even more spacious – in the front and in the rear.

Separated by a diamond-milled centre console that runs the full length of the cabin, the rear seats feature heating, cooling and massage functions, as well as access to electrically deployed picnic tables finished with Mulliner chrome inlays.

Cutting-edge in-car technology

Mounted in the centre console, the wireless Touchscreen Remote gives rear-seat passengers access to many essential in-car features, such as the seat controls, audio system and sunroof. There is a choice of sound systems, from the Bentley signature system to audiophile options from Bang and Olufsen and Naim. Advanced sound insulation keeps the noise of the city at bay, while a built-in ioniser ensures that whatever the quality of the air outside, the atmosphere inside the cabin feels clean and fresh at all times.

The Flying Spur Mulliner V8 is powered by Bentley’s twin-turbocharged 4.0 litre V8 engine. Physically lighter than the alternative powertrains available for this car, it combines thrilling acceleration with truly agile handling. Its top speed is 198 mph (318 km/h), while 0-60 mph is achieved in just 4.0 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds). Drive it in Sport mode and despite the cabin’s incredible sound insulation, you will hear the exhilarating roar for which V8 engines are famous, the moment you put your foot down.

The Flying Spur Mulliner V8 can be commissioned in any of the colours in Bentley’s three paint ranges – the standard range, the extended range and the Mulliner range – adding up to over 80 finishes. There is also the option to commission a bespoke colour, based on a colour sample you provide.

Inside the cabin, there are eight colourways to choose from, each one comprising three different colours – a primary hide colour, a secondary hide colour and an accent colour. Even the key pouches and presentation box will be crafted to match.

The cabin features Flying Spur Grand Black veneers with chrome Mulliner overlays as standard, however you can opt for any veneer from Bentley’s range if you prefer, from understated open pore options to Dual Veneers and technical finishes such as Carbon Fibre and Engine Turned Aluminium.
