FLYING SPUR HYBRID

The Flying Spur Hybrid represents a compelling fusion of handcrafted luxury and sustainable design – and it gives you the capability to drive emission-free without compromising on the exhilarating performance you expect from a Bentley. Whether you prefer to sit in the driving seat or be driven by a chauffeur, it is a car unlike any other.

Progressive design

The Flying Spur Hybrid features a long, low roof line and powerful haunches, giving it a remarkably streamlined profile for such a spacious car. Its gleaming surface curves virtually seamlessly across its entire length, thanks to its superformed aluminium body panels – including the largest created for any car, anywhere in the world. The ‘Hybrid’ front fender badge identifies the car to onlookers, making its electric capabilities clear. Sleek 20” wheels come as standard, with 21” and 22” options available.

Inside, the cabin is a near-silent cocoon of handcrafted luxury. A choice of five standard hide colours can be paired with any one of ten different veneers, to encircle you in a luxurious ring of wood. Further veneer options include dual veneers, which pair a wood finish with a contrasting gloss black, separated by a chrome pinstripe running through the centre.

Rear-seat luxury

In the rear of the cabin, passengers can recline in supremely comfortable, armchair-inspired rear seats, with 14-way electric adjustment and memory settings as standard. With headrests that combine exquisite Nappa leather with super-soft Alcantara cushions, the Flying Spur Hybrid takes passenger comfort to new levels. Consider it business class in a car.

The wireless Touchscreen Remote enables rear-seat passengers to adjust many in-cabin settings, from seat massage to music selection and air conditioning levels – so there’s no need to distract the driver from the road.

The optional Bentley Rear Entertainment package adds two high-definition 10.1” screens, fitted to the backs of the front headrests. They enable passengers to stream content to them directly from their mobile devices, so they can enjoy films, music and other media on the move.

Flying Spur Hybrid Odyssean Edition

The Flying Spur Hybrid Odyssean Edition celebrates the launch of the Flying Spur Hybrid, while also offering a glimpse at Bentley’s future design direction. Created to showcase sustainable design in all its forms, it includes a wealth of handcrafted features and finishes that are unique in the automotive world.

Painted Pale Brodgar accents on the brightware, lower bodywork and 21” ten twin-spoke wheels add a serene quality to the exterior. On the ‘D’ pillars, Odyssean Edition badges can be seen, while the Odyssean Edition treadplates become visible on opening the door.

Inside, there are five three-colour hide schemes to choose from, each one featuring 3D diamond-textured leather. Exclusive embroidery features thread colours that blend beautifully into one another, while panels of a locally sourced wool tweed have been used for the seatbacks and the headrests – a sustainable alternative to leather. Crown-cut Koa veneers feature an open-pore finish that uses minimal lacquer, which is again more environmentally friendly. A Piano Linen veneer gives the centre console a smooth, pearl-like finish that complements the wood’s grain perfectly.

A new kind of power

The Flying Spur Hybrid pairs a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged petrol engine with a 100 kW electric motor, to give you the effortless acceleration you expect from a Bentley, alongside the ability to drive on electric power alone.

From a standing start, it can reach 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds), with a top speed of 177 mph (285 km/h). And thanks to the assistance of the electric motor, you will experience instant acceleration when you put your foot down.

Three ways to drive

The car features three driving modes to make the most of the electric power available. It starts in EV Drive mode, allowing you to move off and begin your journey on electric power. You can even accelerate to highway speeds without engaging the petrol engine. Hybrid mode allows the car to use its Intelligent Navigation system to choose when and where to use electric power – and whether to use the petrol engine at all. The third mode, Hold, uses a different balance of petrol and electric power, in order to preserve battery charge for later use, offsetting use of electric power with intelligent, regenerative braking.

Experience-enhancing technology

With the My Bentley smartphone app, you can check how much battery charge remains at any time, wherever you are. You can see where the nearest charging stations are and you can even use it to find your car if you forget where you’ve parked. Some systems can be programmed to activate at a time of your choosing, so you can charge your car remotely (provided it is plugged into a charger). You can even set a time at which you want the cabin to reach an optimum temperature, to ensure your car is comfortable, the moment you need to get in. From keeping you safe to making life with your Bentley even easier, the My Bentley app adds an extra dimension to ownership of your Flying Spur.

Options abound

When you order your Flying Spur Hybrid, you have countless options to make your car your own. There are seven standard paint colours to choose from, as well as the opportunity to choose from Bentley’s extended range, taking the total choice to over 80 colours. Two 21” wheels are available, one a Polished Ten Twin-Spoke Wheel and the other a Ten Twin-Spoke design with a dark grey and polished metal finish. The Mulliner Driving Specification includes a further choice of three 22” wheels, including all-black options.* The Blackline Specification, on the other hand, turns all exterior brightware black, with the exception of the badges. This is just the beginning of the journey, however. To learn more about the Flying Spur Hybrid, please call us direct on +374 11 555 955.
